| I managed to put in a few hours tonight to play with some things. It's amazing how long it can take to put in some valve covers and fuel rails when you are nervous. I started off by painting the valve covers and throttle cable cover.

It's amazing how much more complete a motor looks with valve covers on and no cam guts exposed.

Unfortunately, when I went to torque my driver side exhaust cover down, I heard a crack. Turns out the BDE half moon that gave me problems with fitment REALLY gave me problems when it came time to torquing the covers down. It had been a while so I sort of forgot about the problems. It was such a minor fitment problem too. I'm surprised it did this. I am hoping the orange gunk will be enough to keep the oil in. I figure it keeps it in around the entire base of the cover so this should probably do the trick. I'll just have to keep an eye on it.
And now, time for a little 300* action. The directions are a little vague but, with the help of the support forum, I was able to get it all figured out.

Just for the fun of it, I put my plenum up to it. I'll actually be putting on a powdercoated black plenum that I bought off a guy on 3ZC for $75 shipped. I think it's going to look nice when it is all said and done.

I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM The unicorn gets its revenge... -- Scotts94z32 on September 19, 2006 at 11:12 AM CLICK FOR DETAILS ABOUT BUYING A ZAMA POSTER!!!!
